For Centuries,Man has tried to come to an understanding of how the process of Socialization has integrated his entire approach of looking at life through the lens of his fellow species.
Anthropologists claim that humans moved rapidly from being primitive individuals who's whole instinct was driven to survive the hardships of life to localized groups of human beings where the grunt was bared by all. A community thereby came into existence, a community bearing common ideals affirmative to their own standards of living.For a community to survive,these common ideals were necessary take into consideration the avoidance of extinction.
Every community has it's own basic structure of moral code built upon through centuries from knowledge acquired by behavioral understanding.As these communities kept increasing in numbers,these moral codes soon started getting etched upon their memories.The act of giving meaning to life,the institution of marriage,the need for having children and their upbringing,understanding the significance of death are common parameters found in almost any community across the globe.If their commonality is easily noticed,what makes them different?It is this difference brought about by falsified claims of eternity,truth etc. that has brought mankind to the verge of eradicating his own species.
It was inevitable that communities would one day come into contact with other communities and a difference of opinion was bound to happen.But with the advent of Enlightenment,faith gave over to Reason.The Science of Reason is the faculty of proving the value of things by observation and not taking it at face value.
In today's world ,where societies(Society is a clustered form of communities ) have blown out of proportion it becomes vitally important to decide of matters concerning to faith,creed and race.But the question remains unanswered,who decides between right and wrong?Can religious leaders who head their communities decide the fine line between right and wrong when Communal violence is the result of religious scriptures wrongly interpreted by these very leaders to satisfy their own desires.No community has any religious law that allows them to destroy their own class of species,since it is a natural instinct of any species to protect it's own. But with Science's gift of reasoning ,religious leaders have perverted their own religion.
The definition of Harmony in music is a scheme of notes which blended together create melody.For Community to harmonize,it necessitates the need to look at it through the lens of Reasoning.Religious Scriptures held reverently by people should be interpreted in the light of benefiting society as a whole,Respect for the individual should not be biased by his notion of god or his race but by the simple fact that he belongs to our specie.
The boundaries of Community can only fall apart by the implementation of scientific reasoning.On the Corollary,Harmonizing of communities can only come to pass by letting loose our pre-conceived notions of segragation.In today's world of globalization where sensitivity to each other's views must be kept checked,it becomes necessary to re-define our notion of understanding who a human is and what can be the outcome of him as a part of society.
